Dr. Kelly Brogan says that a silent tragedy in the history of modern health care is happening right now in North America, but no one is talking about it. We have been told a story of depression: that it is caused by a chemical imbalance and cured by a chemical fix—a prescription.
More than 30 million of us take antidepressants, including one in seven women. Millions more—maybe you—are tempted to try them to end chronic, unyielding distress, irritability, and feeling emotionally flat—trapped by an exhausting, unshakable inner agitation.
It’s time to let go of this false narrative and take a fresh look at where science is leading us. It’s time to start understanding and listening to what depression is trying to tell is. What if we started seeing depression as an opportunity—as a sign for us to stop and figure out what’s causing our imbalance.
Dr. Brogan is here to help us understand what is really going on and has the science to back it up.
Enjoy with an open heart and mind and get ready to feel empowered!
