Soul CampIf you could relive your camp days when you were a kid, would you? Would you do anything differently? Well… Here’s your chance! In this episode you’ll meet the founders of Soul Camp – a sleepaway camp for adults interested in expanding their soul and getting back to being a kid!

Before they were successful entrepreneurs Alison Leipzig and Michelle Goldblum went to the same sleepaway camp as kids. Now they’re joining forces with the leaders of the personal development and wellness world to create a unique, fun filled camp for adults to get back to colour wars, crafts and new lifelong friends. But this isn’t your typical yoga retreat or a self help seminar.

Meet Michelle Goldblum & Alison Leipzig

Soul Camp co-founders Michelle Goldblum and Alison Leipzig united to bring all of the things they loved together to create a completely transformative experience for both themselves and their communities. Going to sleepaway camp together as children, and now, both entrepreneurs in the health & wellness space, they saw that there lacked large-scale community experiences that were not only deep and healing, but fun and playful as well. They believe in the power of joy to change the world. And it happens, one camper at a time.

Kevin GianniWhat do you do when you realize that you may have a hereditary cancer risk and your intent is to find out the keys to perfect wellness? Well, you spend the next two and a half years going across North America in a 36-foot, bio-fuelled RV, named ‘the Kale Whale’, with your wife talking with experts about what works and what doesn’t when it comes to healthy living.

Kevin Gianni is joining us this week to talk about his adventures, learnings and rock bottoms that he had to hit before recognizing what works for him and his body despite what all the professionals say.

Meet Kevin Gianni

Kevin Gianni seriously started researching personal and preventative natural health therapies in 2002 when he was struck with the reality that cancer ran deep in his family and if he didn’t change the way he was living, he might go down that same path. Since then, he’s written and self-published six books on natural health, diet, and fitness, produced over 900 YouTube videos with over 10 million views and has published hundreds of articles.

He’s experimented with many diets and medical protocols to differentiate myth from reality. Kevin has also traveled around the world searching for the best foods, medicines and clinics to introduce them to the readers of the blog he co-founded — RenegadeHealth.com — which is one of the most widely read natural health blogs in the world with hundreds of thousands of visitors a month from over 150 countries around the world. (He’s now a contributor there.)

During that time, he and Annmarie co-founded Annmarie Skin Care, a natural, organic skin care and beauty company. He spends his time now keeping the wheels on this award-winning line as acting CEO.

Sometimes the media is interested in what he’s done. Either he or the Annmarie Skin Care products have been featured or interviewed by many media outlets including The New York Times, Huffington Post, the Style Channel, FOX News, Treehugger and Organic Spa Magazine.

He lives in Berkeley, California with his wife, Annmarie, two kids, two cats and a chicken.

Vasavi KumarHave you ever feared rejection? What about failure? Of course you have because you are human – we all have at one time or another! What about this one though… fear of success? This was one that I had to really examine and dig into further which is why I asked today’s guest, Vasavi Kumar, to be on the show.

Vasari Kumar is an expert in helping people uncover their (often) unconscious values that hold them back from living their full expression. She teaches us how we can become aware of them, change them or direct them in the direction of love and success rather than fear and sabotage. From the words of Marianne Williamson, “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.”

In this episode, Vasavi and I are also dive into discussions around guilt and the spiritual roots of addiction. How to take responsibility for our life and stop blaming ourselves and others from less than desired experiences in our life.

Meet Vasavi Kumar

Vasavi Kumar is often described as “your kick-in-the-pants guide en route to your desired destination.” She is a licensed social worker, special education teacher, and a certified coach. Vasavi holds dual Masters degrees in Special Education from Hofstra University and Social Work from Columbia University. She’s a pro at attracting media and works with her clients to create and go after opportunities that are aligned with their brand values. She has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, was a regular on NBC’s Kansas City Live as the “Keepin’ It Real Guru.” and was on VH1’s Basketball Wives where she coached one of the main stars of the show. She truly believes that with impeccable character, work ethic, and unwavering values, you can do, be and have anything you want.

In this episode, JB and I discuss how to use our individual life story in order to live out our full expression of our core essence.  We explore how to become aware of the values and beliefs we have about ourselves and to make sure they are aligned with how we live our lives.

John Prendergast 1Dr. John Prendergast is an author, psychotherapist, and spiritual teacher. Meet John Prendergast

Have you ever had a “gut feeling?” Do you listen to that “gut feeling when you experience it?”

In this episode, Dr. John Pendergast states that “our bodies have a natural sense of truth.” By listening to our bodies, we can connect with our felt sense of “inner knowing” – that deep intelligence available through our bodies. He shows us how we can integrate the gifts of our inner knowing into every aspect of daily life.

We also explore how our shadows can be used as portals; in other words, how our dark and painful feelings and sensations can point us toward a radiance within.

Plus, we learn about the somatic qualities of our inner knowing and how these quiet signs can guide our choices.

Robbie Vorhaus 2Robbie Vorhaus’ path is very inspiring and also sounds very common (at least the first part of his story). On the outside, Robbie’s life appeared ideal: a New York City Park Avenue apartment, a home in the Hamptons, two adoring children in world-class private schools, and a thriving PR agency representing world leaders, celebrities, sports stars, entrepreneurs and Fortune 500 companies. Privately, though, his life was falling apart.

A marriage in trouble, jeopardized health, and financial pressures culminated on vacation when his family asked: “Dad, are you really happy?” Realizing he was in peril of losing everything he held dear, Robbie courageously followed the advice he had given clients for decades: Follow your heart. Choose to be happy. Consciously make everything better than you found it.

The result: Robbie closed his agency, moved his family to their small Sag Harbor home, started a leadership and crisis consultancy, and began anew.

Now transformed, healthy, happy, and celebrating a marriage of more than 25 years, Robbie shares how he overcame his struggle and how you can to! Robbie has a very interesting perspective on how we can begin slowly (sustainably) to change our behaviour toward living a more fulfilled life – One less. One more.

Meet Robbie Vorhaus

Robbie Vorhaus is widely recognized as one of the top three leadership, communications, reputation and crisis experts and advisors in the world. Vorhaus is the best-selling author of the critically acclaimed, transformational book, One Less. One More. Follow Your Heart. Be Happy. Change Slowly. (Storytelling, Inc., 2014) Robbie Vorhaus is also a frequent media contributor, public speaker and teacher on authenticity and the clarity of purpose and vision.

Meet Koy McDermott

Koy has a massive passion for changing lives and has been obsessed with business since he was a child.
