Dr. Kelly BroganDr. Kelly Brogan says that a silent tragedy in the history of modern health care is happening right now in North America, but no one is talking about it. We have been told a story of depression: that it is caused by a chemical imbalance and cured by a chemical fix—a prescription.

More than 30 million of us take antidepressants, including one in seven women. Millions more—maybe you—are tempted to try them to end chronic, unyielding distress, irritability, and feeling emotionally flat—trapped by an exhausting, unshakable inner agitation.

It’s time to let go of this false narrative and take a fresh look at where science is leading us. It’s time to start understanding and listening to what depression is trying to tell is. What if we started seeing depression as an opportunity—as a sign for us to stop and figure out what’s causing our imbalance.

Dr. Brogan is here to help us understand what is really going on and has the science to back it up.

Enjoy with an open heart and mind and get ready to feel empowered!

Ellie Knaus and DaughterAre you a mom who questions your abilities, decisions, and actions as a parent? Welcome to parenting!

We all have our fair share of struggles, expectations, and unconscious beliefs about ourselves, but there is nothing more raw then when our children bring all this up for us. In those (usually very painful) moments we can either acknowledge it and take responsibility or we can continue to create an unconscious environment for our children.

This weeks’ episode is all about mommy life! Ellie Knaus and I discuss the messiness, the beauty, the challenges and the blessings that all come with raising the next generation in these modern times.

This episode is filled with humour and reassurance that we are all doing the best we can at any given time and that is enough! Leave your high expectations of being able to do it all at the door, ladies.

IMG_4894“We are so unique, yet similar.” – Natasha Grey

This is a very special episode. Every week you tune in and every week you listen to Natasha as she interviews guests from all over the world and from all walks of life all about Conscious Living; however, you may not know Natasha very well. This is your chance to hear her inspiring story.

Just like everybody else in this world, Natasha has had her fair share of struggles. Eating disorders, anxiety, depression and loneliness are all things that Natasha has dealt with in the past and still works on to this day. She’ll share how these experiences have helped her get to where she is today and how she’s using the pain from these “labels” to do her part in helping people wake up to the lives they’re meant to live.

Natasha will also share what The Conscious Living Podcast is all about, what keeps her going every single day and what habits help her stay on track. She even touches on how to help your kids with struggles they may be dealing with. To say this episode has a ton of information would be an understatement. Natasha holds nothing back and proves that she’s here to serve.

Meet Natasha Grey

In addition to being the host of this Podcast, Natasha has a Master’s degree in Psychology with an expertise in Child and Family Therapy and is the co-author of the children’s book Everyday Superheroes. Her work has also been featured in Holistic Parenting Magazine and Nurture Parenting Magazine.

Gabrielle Brick Family ShotGabrielle Brick says it just right, “Life is messy. We’re not messy. Life is messy.”

When we understand and fully embody this principle, we can be free of perfection and the need to control everything. What do we really have control over anyways? Other than ourselves and how we choose to act or react, is there anything else that we can control? When we really think of this question, we’ll realize that there is nothing else that we have control over. And with that comes freedom!

This is one of the reasons Gabrielle Brick has been able to build her business and raise twin boys as a single mom at the same time. She understands that everyday is going to be different and embraces the adventure that comes with the uncertainty of life. Join us as Gabrielle shares her journey of how she arrived where she is today and what she continues to move towards.
